My name is Shiro living in Tokyo, Japan. My shop is located in central area of Tokyo and it is called MA by So Shi Te. I lived in the UK for 6 years and traveled various countries. I hated this country, when I returned from the UK, but as I had been traveling around various parts of Japan, I realized that we also have rich culture, which I should be proud of and and should be shared with people around the world. MA by So Shi Te name derives from two Japanese words, MA and Soshite. MA means a space or room and Soshite means then or and in Japanese. Soshite is often used to introduce the next item in series of actions or events.Life is made up of a series of actions and events, an endless chain of thens anticipating the next development. The change from one action or event to another can be positive or negative. We hope that we can be part of your life and help you to make the next link in your own chain of possibilities a very positive one.A room might be a living room where we share valuable time with family and friends, or it might be a room of our own where we have space in which to develop our ideas and find peace of mind. The act of making a space or room our own, a place where we can interact with others and act out our own dreams, is very rewarding. At Ma we hope to provide inspiration to people aiming to tailor their space to suit their needs and make their lives more fulfilling. There are more than two hundred countries in the world and each has its own unique culture, influenced by climate, geography, religion and other factors. Japan is well known as one of the world's leading economies and the story of Japan's rapid evolution from a feudal, closed state at the end of the nineteenth century to one of the most developed nations on earth at the opening of the twenty-first century is well documented.Amid this economic development and increasing westerniz- ation, Japan has, however, lost some of the features of its traditional culture. The fascination for all things modern, and Western, in Japan is still one of the country's most striking features. This leads us to ask why a greater effort is not being made to foster an appreciation of Japan's unique traditions and crafts. The people of Japan have much to be proud of in their own technology, art and culture, and should cherish these traditions and share them with the rest of the world. On my blog, I will introduce those products I sell at my shop and also give you information about Japan as well as Tokyo. I hope the information I provide to you is interesting and hope that it would be nice if you can have interest in my country, where I was born and I am so much in love with.
