髙山惠子(高山恵子) Keiko Takayama (Vocal)e-mail: keikotakayama.japan@gmail.comhttp://ameblo.jp/keikotakayama/https://www.facebook.com/keikotakayama.jazzworld (facebook)https://jazzworld13.wixsite.com/jazz (Jazz World)栃木県宇都宮出身。幼少の頃より合唱団、オペレッタなどの舞台で活躍。早稲田大学卒業後、ジャズ・ヴォーカリストとして2000年「日中友好ジャズ・フェスティバル」において中国・上海でプロデビュー。近年はラテン・タンゴにも情熱を注ぎ、2009年3月自己のグループ「髙山惠子と楽団南十字星」を旗揚げする。マレー、インドネシア、ハワイ、アルゼンチン、キューバに連なる南十字星圏内のポピュラーソングをラテンタッチで歌い、スペイン語、英語、ポルトガル語、フランス語、ドイツ語、タガログ語、日本語など多彩な言語を駆使したステージを展開、ジャンルを超えたスケールの大きさでエンターテイメント性溢れ、情感豊かで人の心に届く本格的な歌唱を絶賛される。2010年リリース内田晃一音楽生活60周年記念ファーストリーダーアルバム「Oblivion」にゲスト参加。パッショネイトな歌で好評を得る。2013年横濱ジャズプロムナード出演他、2015年には氷川丸での「戦後・日本のジャズは氷川丸から始まった」の歴史的イベントにメインキャストで出演、2016年インペリアルジャズ2016に出演、2017年宇都宮市議会議場ジャズコンサート出演、2018年「明治維新150年やまぐち幕末ISHIN祭」で宇部市渡辺翁記念会館出演と活躍中。1979年発刊、2000年2月休刊の「Jazz World」の元副編集長。「日本ジャズヴォーカル賞」の選考委員を1998年より歴任。2017年ラジオ日本「MJMミュージックアワー」でパーソナリティを務める。2020年度日本ジャズ音楽協会「功労賞」を受賞。現在、大学非常勤講師(英語)でもある。Keiko Takayama debuted in 2000 as a jazz singer at the Japan and China Jazz Festival in Shanghai. She has always been fascinated by Latin music and established her own group, The Keiko Takayama and Southern Cross Band, in 2009, with great success. She performs her Jazz and Latin music in several languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, English, German, Japanese, and Tagalog. She is a passionate entertainer who captivates her audiences’ attention with her rich voice, reaching the core of the listeners' hearts. She has also recently performed on other Jazz artists’ CDs, including Koichi Uchida’s Oblivion in 2010. She has performed at well-known festivals including Yokohama Jazz Promenade in 2013, as a main cast in the historical event "Japanese Jazz began from Hikawamaru since the war" at the Hikawamaru in 2015, the annual big jazz event" Imperial Jazz 2016" of Imperial Hotel and the Utsunomiya city council Jazz concert in 2017. She is the former deputy editor-in-chief of "Jazz World," which was published in 1979 and ceased publication in February 2000. She has served on the selection committee for the "Japan Jazz Vocal Award" from 1998 to 2019, was a personality on Radio Japan's "MJM Music Hour" in 2017, and received the Japan Jazz Music Association's "Distinguished Service Award" in 2020. She is also currently a university English lecturer.「髙山惠子と楽団南十字星」メンバー内田晃一元ジャズワールド編集長ヴィブラフォン奏者 1927年(昭和2年)1月15日栃木県鹿沼市生まれ。小学校2年生の時に東京都世田谷区三宿町に移住、同地多門小学校2年生に編入。1940 年港区の芝浦高等工業学校付属工科学校建築科に入学。戦後の学制改革で1947年芝浦工業専門学校(現・芝浦工業大学)建築科卒業。新宿区内の建設会社に入社したが間もなく肺結核になって故郷の宇都宮市の親元で療養後、回復して同市栃木新聞に入社し社会部記者として勤務した。その頃、宇都宮工業高校生だった渡辺貞夫とアマチュアのジャズバンドを組み、市内のダンスホールや米軍クラブなどで演奏。内田(vib)、渡辺(cl)、ほかに大関(b)、永田(ds)の編成。内田と渡辺はジャズミュージシヤン希望で1951年、相前後して上京し、プロミュージシヤンとして活動開始。内田は銀座・並木道りの「ファンタジア」で「橋本淳バンド」でプロスタート。以降「吉本栄とバードランド・ファイブ」、「レイモンド・コンデ&ゲイセプテット」、「渡辺晋&シックスジョーズ」など名門コンボに参加。1967年独立してスタジオミュージシャンとなり、約10年ファーストコールで活躍、ヴィブラフォン奏者でNo1プレーヤーとなり、同時に自己のバンド「内田晃一クインテット」または「内田晃一カルテット」を編成して現在に至る。ジャズ界でのニックネームは「ハンプトン」。 著書としては1976年(株)スイング・ジャーナル社より「日本のジャズ史=戦前・戦後」がある。 1979年ジャズ専門新聞、月刊「ジャズワールド」を創刊し、2020年2月号の休刊まで、通算492号を発行した。 「ジャズワールド」は国内ジャズボーカルの隆盛発展を願って1985年、「日本ジャズボーカル賞」を創設し、以来2019年まで、毎年「大賞」「新人賞」、折に応じて「優秀歌唱賞」「奨励賞」「特別賞」などを贈り、ジャズ界に華やかな話題とボーカル界の活性化と発展の場を提供してきた。 2016年12月16日、文化庁宮田亮平長官より「長年ヴィブラフォン奏者として活躍し、またジャズ新聞ジャズワールドを発刊するなどして、我が国の芸術文化の振興に多大な貢献をした功績」により文化庁長官表彰を受けた。現在は、「髙山惠子と楽団南十字星」のヴィブラフォン奏者として、東京・浅草のHUBを中心に活動している。Member of "Keiko Takayama and Southern Cross Band "Koichi UchidaFormer Editor-in-Chief of Jazz WorldVibraphonistBorn in Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture on January 15, 1927. When he was in the second grade of elementary school, he moved to Mishukucho, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, and transferred to the second grade of Tamon Elementary School in the same area. In 1940, he entered the Department of Architecture at the Shibaura High School of Technology in Minato Ward. Due to the postwar academic system reform, he graduated from the Department of Architecture at Shibaura Technical College (now Shibaura Institute of Technology) in 1947. He joined a construction company in Shinjuku City, but soon contracted pulmonary tuberculosis and recuperated with his parents in his hometown of Utsunomiya City, recovered and joined the Tochigi Shimbun in the same city, where he worked as a reporter for the Social Affairs Department. At that time, he formed an amateur jazz band with Sadao Watanabe, who was a student at Utsunomiya Technical High School, and performed at dance halls and U.S. military clubs in the city. Uchida (VIB), Watanabe (CL), Ozeki (B) and Nagata (DS) are formed. Uchida and Watanabe moved to Tokyo in 1951 with the hope of becoming jazz musicians and began working as professional musicians. Uchida started professionally with "Jun Hashimoto Band" at "Fantasia" in Ginza. Since then, he has participated in prestigious combos such as "Sakae Yoshimoto and Birdland Five", "Raymond Conde & Gay Septet", and "Shin Watanabe & Six Jaws".In 1967, he became an independent studio musician, was active in the first call for about 10 years, became the No. 1 vibraphonist and player, and at the same time formed his own band "Koichi Uchida Quintet" or "Koichi Uchida Quartet". His nickname in the jazz world is "Hampton".As a book, he published "Japan Jazz History = Before and After the War" from Swing Journal Co., Ltd. in 1976. In 1979, the monthly jazz newspaper "Jazz World" was published, and although it ceased publication in the February 2020 issue, it published Customs clearance issue 492. "Jazz World" established the "Japan Jazz Vocal Award" in 1985 in the hope of the flourishing and development of domestic jazz vocals, and since then until 2019, it had presented the "Grand Prize" and "Newcomer Award" every year, as well as the occasional "Excellent Singing Award", "Encouragement Award", and "Special Award", providing the jazz world with a glamorous topic and a place for the revitalization and development of the vocal world. On December 16, 2016, he received the Agency for Cultural Affairs Commissioner's Award from Agency for Cultural Affairs Ryohei Miyata for his "many years as a vibraphonist and his significant contribution to the promotion of art and culture in Japan, including the publication of the jazz newspaper Jazz World."Currently, he is active as a vibraphone player in the "Keiko Takayama and Southern Cross Band", mainly at the HUB Asakusa in Tokyo.
