Biography建築設計事務所にて設計デザインの仕事をしていたが、1999年にエントリーしたビューティ・ページェント「ミス・ユニバース・ジャパン」においてファイナリストに選出されたことをきっかけに、シンガーとしてのキャリアをスタート。
デュラン・デュランのサイモン・ル・ボン、Dr.ジョン、808ステイトのグラハム・マッシー、スニーカー・ピンプスのクリス・コーナー、Captain Funkこと大江達也、そして故ロバート・パーマーなど、錚々たる顔ぶれのアーティストとのコラボレーションを実現する。
スタイリッシュな“norico Sound“。それは、英語と日本語で歌われるエッジー ポップと覚えやすいメロディ、そして、noricoの特徴であるソフトで透明感のあるボーカルとの融合。 “norico sound”のめざすところは、日本のポピュラー・カルチャーと西洋のポピュラー ・カルチャーをつなぎ合わせ、彼女のミュージック・スタイルから人々へ、「感動」を与えること。
コンラッド ホテル東京での１年半に及ぶライブや、クラブシーンでのライブ・パフォーマンスをはじめ、Vidal Sassoon、資生堂、キリンなど大手企業のコマーシャルソングを手がけ、自身のソロCDをリリースする他、国内外のアーティスと共にコンピレーションアルバムにも参加している。 また、作詞活動も行っており他のアーティストへの提供もしている。
その他、CM・雑誌モデル、ナレーター、2007年東京・名古屋・大阪・福岡モーターショー（マツダ）にてMCとしての出演や、2007年秋に卒業したラジオ「ギンザエスプリカフェ」（ラジオシティ中央FM）では４年以上に渡ってパーソナリティを務るなど、多方面において積極的に活動している。
Not many Japanese pop singers can claim to have shared the stage with Robert Palmer, to have songs written by Simon Le Bon, for Dr. John to play piano on her songs and to have worked with innovative musical talents Graham Massey (Bjork’s producer) and Chris Corner of the Sneaker Pimps, but norico has and this is her story:
norico was born in Aomori in November. She’s a Scorpio, her blood type is O, and apart from music, she loves traveling, photography, cooking, fashion and design.
She was recruited to work at the Raymond Architectural Design Office, which was established by one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s pupils, Antonin Raymond.
In 1999, she entered the Miss Universe Japan Pageant and made it all the way to the finals. It was at this time that her singing career was kick-started by a chance meeting with producer and creative director Nick Wood.
Nick Wood signed norico to Syn Entertainment and called upon his international friends to collaborate with this unique new artist. Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran, Chris Corner of Sneaker Pimps (IAMX), Graham Massey of 808 State, Tatsuya Oe AKA Captain Funk and the late Robert Palmer all agreed to work with norico.
The “norico sound” is stylish, edgy pop with catchy melodies that are performed with her signature breathy vocals. The concept behind “norico” is to combine the best of Japanese popular culture with the best of Western popular culture both visually and musically.
norico’s activities include a year and a half residence performing live at the Conrad Hotel Tokyo, singing several high profile CM songs for brands as Vidal Sassoon, Shiseido and Kirin, releasing her own solo album, writing lyrics for various artists, and appearing on many compilation CDs both domestically and internationally.
She has succeeded in various areas of entertainment, from hosting the radio talk show, “The Ginza Radio City” for over four years to her appearance as an MC for the Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka Motor Shows. She has also had much activity as a fashion model and television commercial personality.

めがねブランドAlain Mikliより発売されたコンピレーションアルバム
「Meli-Melo」にて、ロバート・パーマーとのデュエット曲
「*Drive My Car」を発表。品川プリンス Club EXで行われたリリースパーティーでは、ロバート・パーマーと共にライブを披露。
2003 July, Drive My Car duet with Robert Palmer released on the Alan Mikli compilation Meli-Melo. Also performed live with Robert Palmer for the release party at Shinagawa Prince Club Ex.

「*Quizas, Quizas, Quizas」をコンピレーションアルバム
「Hilton Twenty One」にてカバー。CDジャケットのモデルも務める。
