【What’s Glocal Gift Net？？】

2004年にカナダ人宣教師によって、「グレイテスト・ギフト・ミニストリーズ（GGM）」という名前で日本で活動を開始しました。世界中の貧しく困難な地域に住む子どもたちに、「心のこもった贈り物」によって愛を分かち合うという、純粋でシンプルな活動です。

その思いを引き継いで、2009年4月よりNPO「グローカルギフトネット（GGN）」として活動を始めています。

【About Us】
「Glocal(グローカル)」とは、グローバルとローカルを合わせた造語で、日本の働きと世界の働きの懸け橋になりたいという願い。
「Gift(ギフト)」は、贈り物を様々な形で届ける手助けをする意味。
「Net(ネット)」とはネットワークで、この団体が主役ではなく、横のつながりを大切にする平たい組織であることを表明しています。


【Our Purpose＆Mission】
　私たちの目的は、世界のどこかに住んでいて、傷つき、落胆し、焦燥し、失意の中にある子どもたちに、「あなたを心から心配し、思い出し、会いたいと願っている」誰かがいることを知らせるために、心を込めて作ったクリスマスプレゼントを「手から手へ」と届けます。そしてそのことを通して、私たちが生きる世界を知り、行動して、私たち自身の生き方さえも変えられていくことを願うものです。

　この働きは大きな団体を通してではなく、地域に住む子どもたちや親たち、このプロジェクトに感動し、純粋な動機から協力したい無名の人々によって進められる、草の根から始まるワールドワイドな働きです。

　私たちはこの働きによって、たとえ世界が劇的に変化しなかったとしても落胆しません。
　ただ、クリスマスの意味も知らず、生まれて一度もプレゼントをもらったことのない子どもたちに、一つでも多くのプレゼントを届けることで起こされてくる将来の出来事に期待し、この働きを進めて行きます。

【Projects】
「世界のどこかで、誰かがあなたのことを心配している」というメッセージを伝え、また私たちも自分が受けた愛を分かち合う心を学ぶため、以下の４つの活動を行っています。

【Our Purpose＆Mission】
The purpose of this organization is to contribute to a healthy growth and development of children and their family in the world (especially South-east Asian countries), through sending materials and supporting the management of pre-schools and other educational organizations. Also, contribution to the spread of international public utility works, by accelerating international exchange between Japan and foreign countries through promoting activity of international education of Japanese youth and several charity events, is the goal of this organization.


【Projects】
This organization, as non-profit activities, undertakes the projects below, in order to achieve its purposes stated above.
1) “The Gift Program Project” To supply materials to the South-east Asian countries (mainly Philippines, Cambodia, and Thailand) and to cooperate with other groups with the same goal.
2) “Sponsor Program Project” To support the life and education of children in South-east Asia in pre-schools, educational organizations and poor families, raising the sponsors in Japan for them.
3) “International Education and Cultural Exchange Promotion Projects” To conduct the study tours, workshops and development of teaching materials, for educational organizations which approve our purposes, while promoting the international education of youth, cooperating with the educational organizations and activity groups in Japan.
4) “Charity Projects” To conduct the charity events cooperating with other groups with the same goal, as selling the domestic hand-made goods from the South-east Asian countries.
5) To conduct other projects necessary for achieving the goal.
