Pins and Needles, Lace and Chains

Hello! Sorry if this is in English but I don't know Japanese well and that's probably why I have this account I'm trying to learn Japanese and hope that I can do so by meeting people here

Anyway, I'm Dorian Hellfire, head of fashion for Alone Together NYC, a group dedicated to promoting alternative Japanese fashion here in New York City. While things may be different in Japan, fashions like Gothic Lolita and Visual Kei are thriving in the United States but not many people can afford the price required to obtain things that are available overseas.

The goal of ATNYC is not only to promote alternative Japanese, but to promote local bands performing Jrock-inspired music. While many of us cannot travel to Japan, we try to bring Japan to them without the hassle of big travel plans and heavy expenses.

ATNYC is currently working on several events either hosted by ourselves or by conventions along the East Coast and in New York with the aforementioned goals in mind. We are an ever expanding group that has reached out to several states, as far as Texas! Each and every one of us share the same goals and reams and hope to one day become the brand we're trying to become.

About Me

I graduated with an Associates in Fashion Design from the Art Institute of New York December 2008 and have always been interested in Japanese street fashion. Since then I've wanted to design such clothing and make it possible for people that cannot make it to Japan or pay the expenses of that one dress with today's currency exchanges and shipping costs.

I joined ATNYC at the end of 2008 with the expectations that the company will expand into a brand that people within the Alternative Japanese Fashion scene will come to know within the United States. So far, we've come to work with many people willing to dedicate their time, talent and a little of their money to make ATNYC not just a dream but a reality.
